Flexible Mineral Wool Insulation for Every Surface

What we make

What are Rockwool Rolls & Blankets?

Rockwool Rolls & Blankets are flexible insulation mats manufactured from molten basalt rock spun into fine fibres and needle-punched into a flexible, resilient mat. They are used to insulate walls, roofs, ceilings, ductwork and industrial equipment where fire safety, thermal performance and acoustic control are paramount.

At RPS Construction, we supply high-quality Rockwool insulation rolls and blankets in Bangladesh. Our products are engineered to deliver outstanding fire resistance, reduce heat transfer, and absorb sound — making them the preferred choice for commercial, industrial and residential projects across the country.

  • Molten basalt rock fibre — non-combustible
  • Available in rolls and blankets of various densities
  • Thickness from 25mm to 200mm
  • Widths of 600mm, 1000mm and 1200mm
  • Excellent thermal and acoustic performance
  • Hydrophobic treatment available

Key benefits

Why Choose Rockwool Rolls & Blankets?

Excellent Thermal Insulation

Outstanding thermal performance with low thermal conductivity keeps interiors warm in winter and cool in summer, reducing energy costs significantly.

Non-Combustible

Made from natural basalt rock, Rockwool rolls do not burn and can withstand temperatures exceeding 1000°C, providing critical fire protection.

Superior Acoustic Insulation

The dense fibrous structure absorbs sound waves effectively, reducing noise transmission between rooms, floors and through walls and ceilings.

Moisture Resistant

Hydrophobic treated Rockwool rolls repel water, maintaining insulation performance even in humid or damp environments without degrading over time.

Dimensionally Stable

Rockwool rolls maintain their shape and thickness over time without sagging, settling or compressing, ensuring consistent long-term performance.

Easy to Install

Flexible rolls and blankets can be cut to size on-site and fitted between studs, joists and framing without special tools, speeding up installation.

Where they are used

Applications of Rockwool Rolls & Blankets

Wall Insulation

Internal and external wall cavity insulation for residential, commercial and industrial buildings to meet thermal regulations.

Roof & Ceiling Insulation

Blankets installed under roofing sheets and above ceilings to prevent heat loss and maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.

Ductwork Insulation

Wrapping HVAC ducts and ventilation systems to reduce thermal loss and prevent condensation on cold duct surfaces.

Partition Walls

Acoustic insulation between partition walls in offices, hotels, hospitals and apartments for sound privacy and fire separation.

Industrial Equipment

Insulating boilers, turbines, reactors and process equipment to conserve heat and protect personnel from high surface temperatures.

Fire Barrier

Creating fire-rated compartments and barriers in buildings to contain fire spread and meet building safety code requirements.

Protective finishes

Available Protective Finishes

Aluminium Foil Facing

Reinforced aluminium foil bonded to one or both sides acts as a vapour barrier and radiant heat reflector, enhancing thermal performance.

Wire Mesh Reinforcement

Galvanised or stainless steel wire mesh stitched or bonded to the blanket provides structural support for overhead and vertical applications.

Adhesive Coating

Self-adhesive backing simplifies installation on flat surfaces by eliminating the need for separate mechanical fasteners or adhesive sprays.

Protective Jacketing

Colour-coated steel or aluminium jacketing provides mechanical protection and an aesthetic finish for exposed pipe and equipment insulation.

Got questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Rockwool rolls and blankets?

Rockwool rolls are thinner, continuous mats (typically 25mm–100mm) designed for wrapping around pipes, ducts and framing. Blankets are thicker, denser mats (typically 50mm–200mm) used for wall, roof and ceiling insulation where higher thermal resistance is needed. Both are made from the same basalt rock fibre material.

Can Rockwool rolls be used in cold rooms?

Yes. Rockwool rolls with hydrophobic treatment are suitable for cold room insulation. They resist moisture absorption and maintain thermal performance at low temperatures. For cold rooms, higher density rolls (80–120 kg/m³) are recommended for optimal thermal resistance and structural integrity.

How do I choose the right density for my project?

Density depends on the application: 30–50 kg/m³ for general wall and ceiling cavities, 80–120 kg/m³ for structural and acoustic partitions, and 120–200 kg/m³ for industrial equipment and high-load applications. RPS Construction can advise on the optimal density for your specific requirements.

Is Rockwool insulation safe for indoor use?

Yes. Rockwool insulation is non-toxic, does not release harmful gases, and is safe for indoor use in homes, offices and public buildings. It is non-combustible and does not support mould growth, making it an ideal choice for healthy indoor environments.
